Hi all
The first game of the season is fast approaching.
Players in Year 2-4 (U9beg, U9 and U10) will play 40 minute games - the full fixture is available on the MPNA website - please be aware that they sometimes change.
http://mpna.vic.netball.com.au/common/pages/public/rv/draw.aspx?seasonid=113&gradeid=23980_1&entityid=39518 Players in Year 5 and above will play a different format for the first 3 weeks - they will be playing two 1/2 games. Please check both rounds 1 and 2 as these are both on 14th March, with one game immediately after the other. Please note the courts as some teams will be required to change courts between games.
There are games on the first Saturday of school holidays (28th March). Let your coach know if you are unable to play so that fill-ins can be arranged.
A reminder of game day rules / requests from MPNA
- no ear-rings /studs - they must be removed and can't be taped
- nails short
- no dogs within the fenced areas
- spectators should not be on the court, even during intervals during games
- there are always problems with people parking inappropriately in or around the disabled car parking - this parking is for those with permits only. Do not park in the yellow hatched area beside the disabled car park. Park in marked bays only - this includes next to the disabled parking spot to allow doors to open fully for those using the parking bay and to keep the small ramp on the curb free for people using wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
Some families may have received an email from Netball Vic regarding COVID-19. The current recommendations do not change our playing of netball.
Everyone is reminded of general hygiene advice.
Everyone should practise good hygiene to protect against infections. Good hygiene habits include:
. washing your hands often with soap and water;
. using a tissue and cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze;
. avoiding close contact with others, such as touching.
I ask that players, families and spectators do not attend training or games if they are unwell. This request, and the hygiene information above, is good general advice for any illness.
If any one has not received the email from Netball Vic and would like to receive it, please let me know so that I can forward it to you.
Have an enjoyable Saturday
Regards
Faye
